9th century, and where you find Prague Castle and St Vitusís Cathedral. The castle that dominates the cityís skyline, is the official residence of the Czech president and is ceremoniously guarded by soldiers in red, white, and blue uniforms. Construction of the cathedral began in the 14th century, and it houses many ancient artifacts including a statue of St George from 1373. Below is the Mala Strana quarter that has medieval winding streets and beautifully preserved renaissance and baroque palaces. There will then be some free time for lunch (not included) before we re-board the motor-coach and head to Leeds Castle. This magnificent moated castle is set in 500 acres of gardens and rolling parkland.
